Our boys pipped Thailand by virtue of a better goal average to take the second spot, behind Philippines, on the final day of the 7th SEABA U18 Championship on Friday. Malaysia, thus joined Philippines, as the SEABA representatives in the 21st FIBA Asia U18 Championship scheduled to be held in Sana’a (Yemen) from Sept 22 – Oct 1.
Malaysia had represented the SEABA region in the 20th FIBA Asia U18 Championships in Tehran, Iran and ended the tournament with a fifteenth-place finish.
