Malaysia finish eighth in Pune

Malaysia ended their Pune campaign with an eighth-place finish. Our girls defeated Kazakhstan and Sri Lanka in their first two preliminary group games, and lost to Korea, Japan and Thailand. With a fourth-place group ranking, they faced Philippines for the 7th/8th placing game.

Our girls were unable to defeat the Philippines and ended the tournament ranked eighth out of twelve teams.
