The U18 Malaysian National Women's team finished their campaign in Surat Thani yesterday, winning their final match against India 63-40, securing their level I berth for the next edition of the FIBA Asia U18 tournament.
Our girls had a good showing at Thailand, and although they were up against top-caliber teams like China, Japan and Korea, they played with much spunk and heart, garnering the respect of their opponents as well as the spectators.
The U18 Malaysian Women's team are now in Surat Thani, Thailand for the 20th FIBA Asia U18 Championship for Women. Playing in level I after winning the qualifier during the previous championship, our girls will be up against the likes of China, Japan and Korea.
